Motorbikes : Altamura race team
The Altamura Race team is yet another expression of the passion and the enthusiasm that typifies our company. If Altamura is going to do something then we are going to do professionally and to the best of our ability and more than anything else it expresses our desire to be the best at what we do; always striving to improve and to reach the top.
Riders: Craig Ashall
Craig the "young gun" at 30 comes quite late to racing but has already shown what potential he has regularly running in the top 3 and the top spot is surely not far away. Craig in his formative years was extremely successful in mini moto racing but for all the usual reasons, money, beer and woman took a long time to make the transition to full size motorcycles. He is currently the workshop manager at Altamura and is one of our longest serving members of staff.
Riders: Paul Martin
Paul the "Old Boy" at 53 is consistently in the top 10 and has visited the podium twice during the first half of the season: both Craig and Paul are looking forward to working on their performance and improving further during the second part of the season. Due to advancing years Paul has experience on his side. He started racing in sidecars in the early seventies in the chair giving credibility to the rumour that he has had a frontal lobotomy. Having transitioned into solos his experience extends into club racing in the UK, Supersport 600's in the USA, Kart and car racing in Asia where he won several championships and major events and more recently racing super karts on his return to the UK and now trying to recapture his youth in the mini twins series.
As the owner and managing director of Altamura he believes passionately that you can do anything providing you have the right attitude, that your not afraid of change and have a determination to succeed.

The Altamura team currently competes in the Bemsee Minitwins series.
